Cary starred as Jamie & Frances played his daughter Emma in Simon Stephens’ Country Music, which ran from the 29th of May to the 23rd of June at Clapham’s Omnibus Theatre.
Directed by two-time Offie nominated Scott Le Crass, it tells the story of Jamie Carris, starting in 1983 in Gravesend with the committal of a crime which he doesn’t realise will shape the next 2 decades of his life.
From the multi-award-winning writer of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, this is a play about protection, atonecentment but also how our experiences and circumstances may define who were are but not necessarily who we will become.
It has received a immense amount of critical acclaim with outlets calling it a Must-See especially focusing on Cary’s performance as Jamie with The Stage calling it “Flat-out Revelatory.”
