Shanice features in Mozart’s timeless masterpiece The Magic Flute, part of the English National Opera’s 2019 Season.
Directed by Simon McBurney, critically acclaimed director of The Encounter at The Barbican last year, it follows the adventures of Prince Tamino and the bird-catcher Papageno on their quest to rescue the damsel Pamina. To assist their mission, they are given musical instruments with magical powers, which they utilise to conquer the trials and tribulations placed in their path towards a deeper understanding of true love and happiness.
Packed with serpents, sorcerers, trials of character and courage, this is an enchanting obstacle-laden journey for the quest in search of wisdom and love.
The Magic Flute is running from the 14th of March until the 11th of April 2019 at London’s Coliseum Theatre.
