Robin Cousins MBE – BBC Commentary Team Winter Olympics

Robin is a member of the BBC commentary team the XXIII Winter Olympic Games In PyeongChang, South Korea from February 9th until Feb 25th. He commentated on the team and individual skating events. For all the information for the Games on BBC click here  

Robin participated in 2 Winter Olympic Games with Team GB in 1976 and 1980 when he won his gold medal.

His famous back flips are still talked about today, to see Robin in the 1986 World Pro Championships with 2 consecutive back flips and a perfect score of 5 X 10 click here

Robin still holds the record for the longest Axel jump as stated in The Guinness Book of Records. 

The 2018 Winter Olympic Games will be Robin’s 9th Games as a commentator and his 3rd as TEAM GB Ambassador with the British Olympic Association.

Robin is a triple threat when it comes to Musical Theatre too, as he can dance, sing and act. Seen in his stage performances including Cats, Rocky Horror, Chicago and many others.
