Ken Christiansen will be appearing in the first London revival of Closer To Heaven at the Union Theatre, directed by Gene David Kirk.
The show originally premiered at the Arts Theatre in 2001, with an original score written by Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe of the Pet Shop Boys and featuring a book by playwright Jonathan Harvey (Beautiful Thing).
It centres on a young dancer who is offered a bar job at a London nightclub, where he quickly becomes part of an unconventional family including Billie Trix, a fading 60s rocker and mother figure to the club’s habitués. Ken plays Bob Saunders, a record producer who tries to sign Dave for a boyband he is forming.
