Jon Furlong – Cyrano de Bergerac

Earlier this year Jon performed for Jamie Lloyd Company’s reprisal of Edmond Rostand’s Cyrano de Bergerac, which played at The Harold Pinter Theatre and Glasgow. It has since gone on to perform in New York City.

Written in 1897 and based on the life of the original 17th century libertine, this 5-act play tells the story of swashbuckling nobleman Cyrano De Bergerac who, despite his skill with both sword and quill, he feels his love Roxane will never love him back due to his enormous nose.

The play has been performed throughout the world and has been the inspiration for countless films and tv shows. It’s even responsible for introducing the word “panache” into the English language.
