Gayle Telfer Stevens – River City

 Gayle currently co-stars Caitlin McLean in BBC Scotland’s long-running soap River City.

Airing every Tuesday on BBC One Scotland, this soap opera has aired almost 1,150 episodes at the time of writing having first aired in September 2002.

It has been nominated for and won several awards even though only airing in Scotland which makes it illegible for British television awards.  

Although it’s filmed regularly on a specially-built set in Dumbarton, River City is set in the fictional neighbourhood of Shieldinch in the west end of Glasgow and centres around the local pub The Tall Ship.
