Thankfully he has his ever-supportive mother Margaret, his best friend Pritti and his drag mum Hugo AKA Loco Chanelle to help him on his journey to self-discovery and acceptance.
The film has now wrapped starring newcomer Max Hardwell as Jamie, Oscar-nominated star of Can You Ever Forgive Me?, Withnail & I and Gosford Park Richard E Grant as Hugo/Loco Chanelle; Happy Valley’s Sarah Lancashire as Margaret; and Sharon Hogan as Jamie’s teacher Miss Hedge. John McCrea, who originally starred as Jamie in the West End, has been confirmed to make a cameo.
