Glowing reviews for Cary Crankson in Abigail’s Party

Abigail’s Party opened at the Leicester Curve last night to great reviews.

This exciting revival of Mike Leigh’s popular comedy is the Curve’s first production ever to be performed in the round and director Suba Das’ new version proves to do the play justice in it’s new flexible space.

West End Frame says, ‘The performance of the night comes from Cary Crankson as Tony. The character rarely utters a word, but each time Crankson said a line he had the audience in hysterics.’

The Stage says, ‘Crankson has a wonderful stillness to his work, not one gesture or look is wasted….Powerful and funny, it’s a memorable production.’

Leicester Mercury says, ‘you can’t tear yourself away. Fantastic voyeuristic theatre for the rubbernecking generation.’

Abigail’s Party will run at the Leicester Curve until 8th November 2014.
