Freddy Elletson – A Little Night Music and The Crucible

Freddy Elletson is currently in rehearsals for two plays at Chester’s Storyhouse as part of their Summer Season 2018: Steven Sondheim’s A Little Night Music and Frank Miller’s The Crucible.

A Little Night Music kicks off the season on the 5th of May. Freddy is Frid, the manservant of Madame Leonora Armfeldt, in this fabulous comedy about interlocking romantic trysts, love, nostalgia, regret and the magic of music on a summer’s night.

The Crucible, on the other hand, is generally a much darker beast. Freddy features in this prescient play of paranoia and the manipulation of hysteria as Reverend John Hale, a “spiritual doctor” from the nearby town of Beverly brought in to diagnose and “cure” the town of its infestation of witchcraft and devilry. This factually accurate depiction of the 1692 Salem Witch Trials opens on the 15th of June.
