Alexandra McLean-Williams

Prior to founding McLean-Williams Management, Alexandra was a highly influential Public Relations Consultant in the entertainment industry, looking after numerous celebrities personal press and publicity needs for high profile west end theatre productions, television shows and events. Alexandra also worked on the launch of two entertainment magazines one for the highly successful Time Out Group and the other for the International renowned, Express Newspapers, before taking on the challenge of the launch of Classic FM the first commercial classical radio station in the UK, which was and still is a huge success.

Alexandra’s success has enabled her to use her connections and influence to help a number of prestigious and worthy charities by linking them with the right celebrities thus gaining the charity the huge exposure needed for creating high profile and rewarding fundraising opportunities a service that she still provides to her chosen charities.

By maintaining a select client list, McLean-Williams Management has formed a close working relationship with those she and her company represent, along with a personal management service to that of respected manager/agent.

Her hard work and dedication has won her acclaim and respect from producers, directors and casting directors in all fields of the industry. Alexandra’s experience in media gives her superb negotiating and people skills.

Gemma Allsopp - Assistant

Gemma graduated from the University of Kent in 2007 with a Masters in Drama and Theatre Studies. After travelling for 5 months, Gemma then worked briefly in theatre production at the Ambassador Theatre Group, assisting with the production, casting and programming departments. After being drawn to the casting and agenting side of the industry, she went on to gain experience temping for Gordon and French and Amanda Howard Associates, before joining McLean-Williams Management in August 2008.

Don Perretta - Advisor

Don has recently joined McLean-WIlliams Management as our adviser. With more than 25 years experience in the industry as an award-winning writer, producer and director, he is well-placed to help MWM generate ideas and intiatives, and then to realise their cross-platform potential. Don started out as a journalist in the early 80s, cutting his teeth writing cover features for Time Out (London), where he first worked with Alexandra. He then switched to TV in the early 90s, producing thousands of hours of programming (for UK networks and for international distribution) mainly in the areas of entertainment, factual entertainment, sport and documentaries. Don has had a parallel career as a media consultant, advising on many start-ups and speaking at conferences, conducting research and assisting young enterpreneurs to develop their ideas. He is also managing director of Desirable Media, a company whose principal aim is to develop ideas for cross-platform exploitation.

KT - Publishing Consultant.

KT is currently acting across a number of platforms with companies - from Non-Executive Director for a sports publishing company, personal management to various personalities to consultant for media businesses, agencies and clients advising and acting as agent on all aspects of Book publishing.

Before she made the decision to work on her own she was the Managing Director of Virgin Books, a key brand in the publishing industry,gaining a reputation for launching new authors and creating bestselling franchises. KT worked there for 11 years, joining as Head of International Sales, being promoted to MD in 2000. In 2008 she led the company through a sales process to the Random House Group, staying on to ensure integration of the staff, authors and systems into their new home. Some of the publishing successes include Carol Vorderman, Lorraine Kelly, Sir Richard Branson, Aled Jones, Max Clifford, Anthea Turner and brands such as Black Lace, Gi Diet, Your Life in Your Hands and many more.
