Stefanie Powers – Gotta Dance

Stefanie Powers is playing the role of ‘Joanne’ in Jerry Mitchell’s original Broadway-bound production of Gotta Dance.

Jerry Mitchell will direct and choreograph the production which begins it’s pre-Broadway run in Chicago from December 13th.

The new musical is based on a documentary following a senior-citizen dance team as they prepare to perform a hip-hop dance routine at a high profile basketball game. The original film maker Dori Bertinstein will act as a producer for the show along with former Dreamworks Animation executive, Bill Damaschke.

That’s almost the point of the musical Gotta Dance, which its director Jerry Mitchell jokingly calls ‘A Chorus Line, for seniors’.”
